Day 1- ARRIVED IN PORTLAND
I started the day by checking into my hotel then hopped in an uber to eat at Grassa an AMAZING homemade pasta spot in downtown Portland. I also went shopping at Pioneer place which is a HUGE mall with everything ALSO on the way they had a Goodwill boutique where they had designer everything. (Worth checking out) I also visited a popular Church called Bridgetown which was truly life-changing!
I also visited Dutch bros Hehe
Day 2 – Headed to the coast
Woke up got the rental car we used HERTZ (ps ALWAYS GET EXTRA CAR INSURANCE when renting a car, you never know what can happen) We hopped in the rental & drove to Newport. (Where our Airbnb was) We went to grocery store for the week for hiking snacks & quick dinners.
Ofc more Dutch bros (got the eclipse rebel iced)
Day 4 – Hiked Gods thumb
This hike was about 40 min. north of Newport towards Lincoln city. This hike is NOT for the weak or inexperienced hikers. It’s about 5 miles round trip and lots of mud and hills. All trails will help you find the exact trail (linked below) ps the knoll loop is what you want to follow I promise it will take you legally to Gods thumb.

Day 5 – SAND DUNE EXCURSION
We woke up & drove to Florence OR for the sand dunes (which was an hour south of Newport) We Rented three ATVs for 2 hours for $525. WORTH EVERY PENNY we used Ocean breeze ATV rental in Florence… if you aren’t experienced with ATVs BE CAREFUL it can be very dangerous with over 250-foot dunes. After the dunes we drove home and ate at an AMAZING restaurant called KYLLOS.
Day 5 – DROVE TO BROOKINGS
We woke up to a SNOWSTORM so we drove to Brookings which is about 5 hours give or take from Portland. Which took us almost all day…
Day 6 – NATURAL BRIDGES + SECRET BEACH
We ate breakfast at Billys place + coffee at cosmic grind espresso both good local spots in Brookings. Then we explored the Natural bridges from the viewpoint because the trail was closed because of the weather. We were lucky enough to find secret beach, which was a little over 2 miles for us. (All trails linked below) We then hit the road towards back to Portland and stopped by a few coastal towns where we got some cute souvenirs then drove back to Portland for our flight Sat.
